We are on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Associate Software Engineer with a strong background in C# and .NET frameworks to join our development team at SPT Labtech. As an independent thinker, you will get plenty of freedom to try things out and can learn from your colleagues across the business. You do not need to have studied Computer Science to apply but you do need to be passionate about software and be able to demonstrate some experience writing code.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain software applications using C# and the .NET.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ideate, develop, and implement scalable and high-quality software solutions.
  • Engage in code reviews to ensure code quality, reliability, and adherence to best practices.
  • Assist in integrating third-party services and APIs.
  • Work closely with the Test team to identify and fix bugs.
  • Stay abreast of new technology trends and best practices in .NET development.

You will ideally have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Object-oriented design & programming skills.
  • Strong programming skills in C#.
  • Good understanding of the .NET framework and .NET Core.
  • Knowledge of software development principles and lifecycle.
  • Experience with database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

You may also have experience of:

  • Experience with web development technologies (ASP.NET, gRPC, Entity Framework).
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
