Freejam ((url removed)), developers of the online multiplayer game Robocraft ((url removed)), is now looking for a Senior Unity Programmer to join our growing team to build the long-awaited sequel Robocraft 2 ((url removed)). Robocraft 2 is developed using cutting-edge technologies, including Unity DOTS and Havok Physics. This is a full-time, permanent, in-studio role based in Portsmouth, UK. We can sponsor visas and offer relocation assistance if required.

Responsibilities

• Work together with the rest of the team to bring new features to life
• Write polished, readable and maintainable code
• Create and integrate development tools and testing procedures
• Write optimised code considering CPU, GPU, memory and network requirements
• Support\mentor junior programmers

Requirements

• An excellent understanding of game architecture and good programming practices
• Have shipped at least one substantial game title
• Advanced C# programming/Debugging/Profiling skills
• Excellent understanding of data structures and related algorithms
• Excellent maths skills
• Experience with native programming
• An understanding of Entity Component System architecture is useful
• A Computer Science degree or a similar equivalent

• Physic engines related knowledge
• GPU programming related knowledge
• Network programming related knowledge
• Strong experience with ECS programming
