The Piping Engineer will engage on active projects across Europe to provide technical solutions and deliverables.
They will interact with end-users, equipment suppliers, and subcontractors across the full project design cycle, fabrication and operation.
The opportunity is best suited for an innovative individual with a solid technical background, who aspires to grow into an engineering domain or operations role.
Requirements
- Piping and Layout design and optimisation of modular carbon capture units.
- Leading Piping activities on Detailed Design and Fabrication projects
- Developing engineering deliverables, such as; Plot Plans, 3D Layouts, Piping Stress Reports and Piping Material Specifications
- Support testing, installation and commissioning of carbon capture plants
- Overseeing design subcontractors and reviewing deliverables
- Active contribution to innovation and design improvement
- Travel to carbon capture and other industrial sites when required.
Benefits
To be successful in this role you should have a combination of the below knowledge, skills, and experience:
- B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering (M.Eng. preferred)
- Chartered Engineer, or working towards Chartership
- Experience in Oil and Gas or Process Plant design
- Knowledge and experience of FEED, Detailed Design and Fabrication
- Experience in AutoCAD Plant 3D
- Familiar with industry design codes (ASME, API, ISO etc.) and their application
- High technical fluency with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Knowledge of modular design and construction
- Ability to work effectively in a small, developing, and entrepreneurial organisation; high level of flexibility and adaptability required
- Strong relationship building skills, especially across a dispersed team.
