Aed Energy Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Optics and Semiconductor Device Physicist to join our team. As an Optics and Semiconductor Device Physicist at Aed Energy, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and optimization of our novel thermal battery technology. • Conduct research and development activities related to optics and semiconductor devices for thermal battery technology
• Design and optimize photonic components and structures for efficient power and heat conversion
• Develop and implement characterization techniques for evaluating the performance of semiconductor devices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate optics and semiconductor devices into the overall thermal battery system
• Analyze and interpret experimental data to drive improvements in device performance
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in optics and semiconductor device physics
• Contribute to the intellectual property portfolio of the company through invention disclosures and patent applications

Requirements

• PhD in Physics or a related field, with a focus on optics and semiconductor device physics
• Strong background in optical design, semiconductor physics, and materials science
• Proficient in modeling and simulation tools such as COMSOL, Lumerical, and MATLAB
• Experience in the design and characterization of photonic devices
• Knowledge of solid-state physics and quantum mechanics
• Familiarity with thermal management techniques for energy storage systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a track record of working effectively in multidisciplinary teams
