As a Junior Backend Engineer at Grabyo; you will have exposure to the backend APIs and services that sit at the core of the Grabyo Platform. Some days you might be part of the team working at the core of services like live transcoding or automated closed captioning; while other days you might be part of the team architecting our platform to improve our path to microservices.

Java, JavaScript, Go, NoSQL, serverless architectures, microservices, auto-scaling and auto-recovery, AWS Kinesis, ECS Fargate, DynamoDB, media processing, Terraform - these are a few of the state-of-the-art techs you will be working with.

• Building awesome APIs as well as sleek, beautiful front-end client experiences

Requirements

How do I get this job?

• Proficiency in a modern programming language (Java, Javascript, Python or Go).
• Professional experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL)
• Knowledge of micro-service oriented architectures
• Proven expertise with cloud providers (bonus points for AWS - our chosen cloud provider)
• Passion for emerging technologies
• At least a years commercial experience.

The recruitment process (all via Google Meets Video Calls)

We aim to have a quick and dynamic hiring process. This process lasts around two weeks and it has the following stages:

• Initial face to face interview (around 1 hour) to understand your interests and career expectations to ensure we are a good fit for each other.
• Technical test to be completed at home.
• Final interview (around 2-3 hours) with our lead developers to go through your test and your technical knowledge.
