Industry 4.0 Manufacturing Engineer

What will you be doing?
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will join our Edinburgh team to support our activities within the UK.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead and execute Manufacturing transformation projects in alignment with SMART Factory, Industry 4.0, and Industry 5.0 principles.
- Collaborate closely with the customer's teams to assess current manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategic plans for implementation.
- Drive the integration of advanced technologies such as IoT, automation, data analytics, and AI/ML to optimise production workflows and enhance operational performance.
- Design and implement innovative solutions to streamline manufacturing operations, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Conduct thorough analyses of manufacturing data to identify trends, root causes of inefficiencies, and opportunities for process optimisation.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal and external stakeholders on best practices for SMART Factory implementation and manufacturing process improvement.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on new technologies, processes, and methodologies related to Manufacturing transformation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and IT to ensure seamless integration of SMART Factory initiatives with existing systems and processes.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Manufacturing transformation, and proactively recommend innovative solutions to address evolving business needs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and safety protocols throughout the Manufacturing transformation process.
