Newstaff is recruiting on behalf of a well-established company specialising in the installation, servicing, and repair of manual and motorised roller shutters across the UK. The Role
You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of roller shutter systems at commercial sites across the UK.
Duties include:
Installing and repairing manual and motorised roller shutters
Fault finding and carrying out repairs
Working as part of a two-person engineering team
Completing site surveys and job documentation
Using hand and power tools safely
Providing excellent customer service on-site
Occasional overnight stays when required
Early starts and late finishes depending on project locations
Who We're Looking For
We would like to hear from candidates who have:
Previous experience installing or repairing roller shutters, industrial doors, automatic doors, gates, access systems, or similar equipment
A practical, hands-on approach and good problem-solving skills
A full UK Driving Licence
Good communication and customer service skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail when completing paperwork and surveys
Trainee Opportunities Available
We are also interested in speaking to candidates who may not have direct shutter experience but have a strong mechanical aptitude and can learn quickly. If you are reliable, hardworking, technically minded, and keen to develop a specialist trade, full training can be provided for the right person.

Electrical qualifications
Blue Card
Experience working within commercial environments
Please note that DBS/CRC checks may be required for certain high-security sites, including airports.
Applicants should ideally live within 40 minutes of Ampthill.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 6:00pm
Overtime paid after 42.5 hours per week.
