As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will join our team to support our activities within the Aerospace sector.
You will play a key role in ensuring that mechanical design activities are compliant with aviation regulatory standards and aligned with quality management requirements. This position combines hands-on engineering expertise with responsibility for regulatory compliance, audits, and continuous improvement within a highly regulated aerospace environment.
Location: Bristol
On Site: Hybrid
Clearance: Eligibility for UK Security Clearance required
Experience Level: Senior
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure mechanical design activities comply with PART 21J, CAA, and ISO standards
Manage and coordinate regulatory approvals and certifications
Act as the primary interface with regulatory bodies and auditors
Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
Manage non-conformities, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
Lead preparation for audits and regulatory inspections
Support engineering and operational teams in maintaining quality and compliance standards
Ensure robust processes across returns, concessions, and non-compliant components
