About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join our team, supporting high-voltage substation projects across London. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of National Grid safety standards, hold a valid National Grid Persons Certificate, and bring hands-on experience within substation environments.

This is a key role in ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance across complex, high-risk energy infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HSE support and oversight across multiple substation sites in London

  • Ensure strict compliance with National Grid, CDM, and company HSEQ policies

  • Conduct site audits, inspections, risk assessments, and safety reviews

  • Deliver toolbox talks and site inductions, and promote a strong safety culture

  • Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions

  • Liaise with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors on HSE matters

  • Monitor environmental impacts and support sustainability initiatives

Requirements:

✅ National Grid Persons Certification (Current/Valid – Essential)
✅ Experience in substation construction or maintenance projects
✅ NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
✅ Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations, ISO 45001, and industry best practices
✅ Excellent communication and leadership skills
✅ Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London
