Alternative Heat design, develop and deliver a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe. We specialise in the design, supply, and installation of a wide range of prefabricated energy solutions, typically built in NI and shipped throughout the UK & Europe. We also offer turnkey design, build, and operate solutions for commercial energy centres and large-scale district heating solutions and have experience with successfully procuring and delivering many similar packages to a wide range of public bodies throughout UK & Europe. Due to continued growth we wish to employ a Site Supervisor to support our current site teams. Role:Due to continued growth, we are looking to employ a Site Supervisor to support our current fabrication team, in our fabrication facility in Scarva. Hours | Monday - Thursday 7am - 5pm, Friday 7am - 2pm
Salary | Competitive depending on experience
Responsible to | Fabrication Manager
Responsibilities
- Checking Goods in and out.
- Full control over all Employees on site, holding them accountable for productivity, to include tasks clearly set out and managed.
- Manage and schedule workload accordingly in the fabrication facilities.
- Liaise with Fabrication Co Ordinator to establish the requirements for each project.
- Liaise with Team Leaders within the Fabrication Facility.
- Liaise with Fabrication Manger in relation to Labour resources/requirements/training needed.
- Provide weekly progress report on each project to the Fabrication Manager and Co Ordinator.
- Read and fully understand the construction drawings for each project.
- Plan deliveries through dispatch and Logistics.
- Manage daily workloads for Employees.
- Participate and provide support to the Fabrication Manger with the interview/hiring process.
- Deliver and complete site inductions, toolbox talks, safety inspections and ensuring overall site safety is upkept.
- Ensure company Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to onsite, raising any Near miss Hazards and that the Team is aware to do the same.
- Maintaining quality control procedures.
- Ensuring Weld kits are ready for Fabrication.
- Complete a daily handover with the Backshift Supervisor.
- Ensure waste management procedures are adhered to onsite.
- Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to and developed alongside Production Co Ordinator.
- Update the skills matrix, continuous improvement plan for the Site with the Fabrication Manager.
- Any other duties required by management to the requirements of the role.
- Set a personal example to all personnel will on site.
- Daily quality checks on Fabricated items and these being recorded.
Criteria
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience as a fabricator, preferably in a site–based environment.
- Must have at least 1 year experience as Supervisor within a yard or site-based environment
- Proven Track record with Problem solving and decision making.
- Experience of carrying out weld inspections.
- Computer skills including the ability to operate Microsoft Office & Excel
- Organized and structured approach to your work
- Ability to work under pressure and cope with a varied portfolio of work.
- Full UK Driving License
- Good attendance and timekeeping record
- Good interpersonal Skills
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
