Senior Electrical Engineer – Low Carbon Building Design

A leading building services and low-carbon design consultancy is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to drive sustainable and high-performance projects across various sectors. The Role:

The successful candidate will take a leadership role in multiple projects, overseeing design from concept to completion. Key responsibilities include:
Designing electrical systems for buildings, incorporating sustainable technologies such as EV charging, photovoltaics, and battery storage.
Leading 2D & 3D designs (AutoCAD/Revit) and preparing reports/specifications.
Engaging with clients and contributing to business development.
Managing project finances and mentoring junior engineers.
Overseeing site progress, commissioning, and handover.
Progression opportunities, including potential for future leadership or partnership roles.

The Ideal Candidate:

CEng Chartered Engineer (or working towards it).
BEng/MEng in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
5+ years’ experience in electrical design for buildings.
Knowledge of sustainable design and emerging technologies.
Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
Proficiency in Amtech, AutoCAD, Revit, IES, or Dialux.
