Owen Daniels have partnered with Polytec in Telford as they look to appoint a Manufacturing Engineer. The Manufacturing Engineer manages and improves manufacturing processes using continuous improvement techniques to reduce costs, enhance quality, and support production updates. They provide technical support, oversee PFMEA updates to AIAG & VDA FMEA standards across multiple sites, manage production issues, and collaborate with teams to implement process changes while ensuring minimal impact on production delivery.

Job Description
- Process Improvement & Optimisation – Manage and enhance manufacturing processes to reduce costs, improve quality, and support production updates.
- Technical Support – Provide engineering support to operations, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure minimal disruption to manufacturing.
- PFMEA Management – Update and implement PFMEA to AIAG & VDA FMEA standards across multiple sites.
- Project & Stakeholder Management – Lead process changes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and coordinate with customers and suppliers.
- Equipment & Production Line Development – Support procurement of new equipment, implement lessons learnt, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Qualified in a related engineering discipline to HNC/HND Level as a minimum
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing / launch engineering
- Strong understanding and knowledge of PFMEA and/or AIAG & VDA
