Job Role: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Southam

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday - 7.00am to 5.15pm

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

The Company:

A well-established East Midlands business providing engineering solutions through design and manufacturing of products for the Automotive and Industrial Sector.

Manufacturing Engineer Role:

  • Program Mazak machines for a variety of components across different machine platforms.
  • Utilize CAD software to develop CNC programs for R&D prototypes, first-off production, and process optimization.
  • Be actively involved in R&D, NPI (New Product Introduction).
  • Conduct cost-down analysis and develop project plans aimed at reducing prime costs.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and drive NPI projects to the shop floor.
  • Identify waste within processes and develop strategies to reduce it, driving continuous improvement.

The Candidate:

  • Strong collaboration skills, particularly in working with quality and production teams.
  • Experience with Solidworks / Fusion / Hypermill.
  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing / Production / NPI Engineer position or similar.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve technical issues in real-time.
  • Strong documentation skills to support manufacturing and quality processes.
  • Ability to provide training for internal and external personnel as needed.
