An established and independent building services consultancy is looking for a talented and motivated Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join their growing team. Role

As a Mechanical Building Services Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing mechanical systems, with a focus on HVAC and public health engineering.
  • Conducting surveys, system analyses, and feasibility studies to assess effectiveness and client suitability.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Performing design calculations and preparing detailed proposals and tender documentation.
  • Monitoring project progress, ensuring quality standards, and delivering clear and concise reports.

Requirements

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in building services design.
  • Proficiency in Cymap or Hevacomp software; experience with Revit or AutoCAD is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with integrating renewable technologies such as heat pumps, thermal energy storage, and solar thermal systems.
  • Knowledge of BIM standards and sustainable design principles.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
