Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join our team in Swindon. This is a full-time position offering a competitive annual salary of £46,000, providing you with the opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a well-equipped facility. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostics, repairs, and scheduled maintenance on HGVs in line with manufacturer standards.
- Perform inspections and safety checks to ensure vehicles meet legal and safety regulations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools.
- Complete detailed job cards, service records, and relevant paperwork accurately.
- Work closely with team members to provide high-quality service and ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace, following all health and safety guidelines.
- Experience: Proven experience in HGV maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
- Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills, with familiarity with HGV systems.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to deliver high standards of workmanship and keep accurate maintenance records.
- License (Preferred): An HGV license is an advantage but not essential.
