Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Technician to join our team in Bournemouth. This is a permanent, full-time role with a competitive salary and a stable Monday-to-Friday, straight-day shift schedule. The successful candidate will have proven experience in heavy vehicle maintenance, with either a time-served apprenticeship or a Level 3 qualification. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) in accordance with manufacturer standards.
- Conduct inspections, safety checks, and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure fleet safety and compliance.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Accurately complete job cards, maintenance records, and associated paperwork.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless workflow and high service quality.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols and workshop standards.
- Experience: Previous experience as an HGV Technician or similar role is essential.
- Qualifications: Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
- Skills: Proficient in diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, with a good understanding of HGV systems and components.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high standards in all work performed and to complete accurate records.
- License (Desirable): An HGV license is preferred but not essential.
- Competitive Salary: £40,000 per year, paid monthly.
