The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Hydraulic Modeller to join with our client’s growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering hydraulic modelling to support flood risk assessments, drainage design, and nature-based flood risk management solutions. You will work as part of a close-knit team of professionals, collaborating with other experts in the field to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.

Role Responsibilities:

• Use hydraulic modelling techniques to assess river and urban flooding, helping to manage flood risks effectively.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, working alongside experts in different fields to deliver integrated solutions.
• Write, review, and present detailed technical reports that clearly explain complex findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Drive innovation to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and quality of the projects you work on, ensuring the best possible outcomes.

Your skills and experience

• Project management experience.
• Ability to produce clear, high-quality technical reports.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with clients and colleagues.
• Commercial awareness and ability to manage projects on time and within budget.
• Experience with hydraulic modelling software for flood risk or environmental management.
• Understanding of flood risk assessments and planning.
• Knowledge of UK flood risk policies and hydrological methods.
• Knowledge of flood risk management techniques and option appraisals.
