Crawley – Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Platform has partnered with a leading Clean Energy company that are looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to play a key role in developing the electrical and power electronic systems that drive their cutting-edge products!

£65K-£73K

Main Duties:

  • Design electrical networks for grid-connected systems (AC/DC configurations)
  • Create electrical architecture diagrams and wiring schematics
  • Assist in the creation of electrolyzer and fuel cell stack designs.
  • Oversee and maintain electrical design materials and documentation and communicate with key stakeholders
  • Ensure all electrical designs comply with relevant standards - IEEE, IEC, NFPA etc.
  • Assist with system installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical components

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • AC/DC distribution experience
  • Power system design experience - cable sizing, protection device selection, and with control systems – PLC’s
  • Proficient in power system design systems (ETAP, EPLAN, MATLAB).
  • Experience with British and international regulations and standards
  • Have worked within R&D and prototype development environments.
  • Experience with MW Scale systems desired

Salary/Location:

  • The salary is circa £65K-£73K depending on experience
  • This role is based in and around Crawley
