Mark Out & Trades Team Leader

In this role you will lead a team of operatives in the delivery of Markout and trade services. You will work closely with the Supervisor in planning, organising, and delivering the services in a timely and safe manner ensuring all CBRE Managed Services process and procedures are adhered to. The work will be delivered by supervision of team members in the Technical Events Team, and/or subcontractors. The role may require you to be able to cover for the Supervisor when they are unavailable. This role will require a flexible approach and positive attitude, including flexible work patterns on an 'Annualised Hours' Contract.
Key Responsibilities
1. Planning
a) Assist the Supervisor in the planning of timescales and labour based around the needs of the business from collated information received from the Client via EBMS.
b) To attend monthly liaison meetings if the Supervisor is unavailable to ensure correct programming of labour in conjunction with all other NEC operational departments.
c) Attend weekly/monthly internal meetings to give an operational overview in the absence of the Supervisor.
d) To plan effective training and development of operatives.
e) Forward thinking to spot and deal with challenges and tasks before they become an issue.
Financial
a) Document and report on amendments and upgrades to customer orders.
b) Diligently manage the use of consumable stores items to prevent waste.
c) By way of innovation constantly look at ways to grow the mark outs and trades business
3. Administration
a) Responsible for updating EBMS in conjunction with Contract Support. b) Undertake audits to maintain an up to date inventory of all client owned equipment
c) To provide detailed and accurate information regarding monthly work to be invoiced promptly to the Client.
Compliance
a) Ensure all work is undertaken according to CBRE policies and procedures
1) Client liaison & satisfaction
a) Monitor customer requests via NEC liaison, emails, EBMS and the SCS Team, ensuring all requests are dealt with in a prompt and professional manner.
b) To demonstrate a proactive manner in dealing with any Customer/Client (NEC & SCS Team) requests and feedback.
c) Carry out any inspections as required including completing any necessary paperwork.
2) Health & Safety
a) Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.
b) Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required.
c) Use reporting systems to record unsafe acts and conditions
4. General
a) Ensure a professional image of CBRE is presented to clients and visitors ensuring excellence in customer service is always delivered and promoted.
b) Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning.
c) To carry out any additional tasks as requested by the Technical Events Contract Manager in assisting all areas within the Technical Events Team and with any other areas of the CBRE contract.
Skills and Experience
a) Practical in approach to resolution of technical issues.
b) Ability to communicate at all levels.
c) Organised and disciplined approach to work giving careful attention to detail.
d) Experience of reading drawings
e) Experience of setting out or marking out
f) Previous roles such as, survey technician, ground worker, handyman, builder
g) Forklift license - desirable
h) Computer literate - Outlook, Word, Excel
