The Recruitment Co are looking for an Estimator to join a long established company based in Barnsley. This role will be to ensure the company's range of products and services are cost effective, to specification and to governing quality standards.

What you can expect in this role:

• Carrying out Engineering Product Estimations.
• Read and understand Engineering 2D/3D drawings.
• Manage the technical specifications in our quotations.
• Maintain and document estimating standards in line with actual labour and material efficiencies to ensure manufacturing operations can meet the estimate.
• Accurate and proactive communication with customers (to include requested or expected feedback) to include the timely review and interpretation of customer purchase orders.
• Manage administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
• Assist in managing the drive of continuous improvement practices within the department so as to improve. engineering standards year on year reflected in improved monthly closed job performance.

What we need from you:

• HND (or equivalent) in Engineering or qualified by experience.
• Estimating minimum 3 year's experience.
• Manufacturing Engineering Experience.
• Fabrication type Engineering Background (Desirable)
• Experience with engineering contracts (Desirable)
• Factory Master system (Desirable)
