Basic Role Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to understand electrical requirements.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Utilise estimating software and industry standards to develop detailed cost breakdowns.
- Request and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to determine the best options.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to clarify project requirements.
- Propose value engineering options to optimise project costs.
- Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals to clients.
- Conduct cost analysis to compare estimated costs with actual project expenses.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project documents.
