2BM Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with our manufacturing client in Sheffield with an excellent opportunity for a SHEQ Engineer on an FTC (approximately 9 months) to join an established organisation that has exciting growth plans offering career progression opportunities for the future.

As a SHEQ Engineer within a manufacturing plant you will be a key member of the Health & Safety team responsible for maintaining and improving quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining SHE-QA functions to ISO9001, ISO14001 ISO45001 & EN1090 external audits.
  • Liaise with production and management teams ensuring that QHSE align with company products and services whist meeting customer expectations.
  • Actively lead in accident and near miss investigations implementing preventative measures.
  • Manage documentation updates for Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure safe and efficient production, in line with environmental standards.
  • Deliver and track necessary training following amendments to Policies and Procedures.
  • Provide inhouse training on a variety of SHE-QA related topics.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and ensure the site COSHH system is fully implemented.
  • Support waste management processes and ensure waste is correctly labelled and collected.
  • Administration and support towards ongoing health screening of the workforce including occupational health checks, vibration monitoring, prescription eyewear etc

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills / qualifications / attributes:

Candidates must have previous experience in a similar QHSE/HSE/SHEQ role and an understanding of Health, Safety & Environment regulations, and procedures.

Qualified to NEBOSH or similar standards

Ideally you will have experience and working knowledge of ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 and ISO45001.

Practical experience of implementing SHE systems, performing risk assessments, producing safe systems of work etc.

You will have the ability to communicate effectively and conduct effective training whilst working independently and as part of a team, multitask and make sound business decisions and recommendations.

Full time fixed term maternity cover contract working 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday

Competitive salary negotiable depending on skills, experience and qualifications.

33 Days annual leave including bank holidays.
