An exciting opportunity has arisen within this leading, UK based manufacturer of electro-mechanical systems into the Aerospace, Automotive and wider engineering industries for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join its engineering team.
THE ROLE
The main role of the Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer is to develop and design products and prototypes using SolidWorks. Other responsibilities include:
- Develop and design products and prototypes using SolidWorks.
- Provide strong theoretical knowledge of core mechanical engineering principles.
- Perform basic stress-strain calculations and mechanical math’s, including moments and force calculations.
- Prepare Bills of Materials, exploded drawings, and manuals.
- Utilize 3D CAD modeling software to create drawings of manufactured components.
THE PERSON
In order to succeed in the role of Graduate Mechanical Engineer you will need hold a relevant degree or equivalent work experience as an essential requirement. You will ideally have experience using Solidworks or similar during your degree and have excellent PC skills. You will receive excellent training so the ability to learn is very important.
