Our client is a well established multi-disciplined engineering company that designs, supplies, installs and maintains precision engineered solutions for the Hydrogen, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy and Process Industries. They are looking to strengthen their team with the appointment of a Mechanical Draughtsman & Design Engineer on a permanent basis.

As a Mechanical Draughtsman & Design Engineer you will be part of the engineering & operations team and you will work closely with clients and suppliers to design and deliver mechanical engineering solutions, focussed around process equipment (Valves, Static Mixers, Valve Interlocks, Pressure Relief equipment etc).

The duties of a Mechanical Draughtsman & Design Engineer will be to:

• Liaise with clients at the front end of their projects to understand the technical requirements of the project and work with them to create an engineering solution which satisfies their demands.
• Review and understand different project specifications, which will come from a range of clients across a range of processing industries.
• Assist the client with the creation of a project specifications, BOM's, 2D/3D GAD's, and detailed description of operations.
• Interpret site survey data to produce 2D drawings and 3D models of the surveyed equipment.
• Build relationships with the clients, suppliers and end users, to ensure they trust and believe in the work we do.
• If required visit site to gain a better understanding of the project requirements and liaise directly with the site team.

Ideally the successful Mechanical Draughtsman & Design Engineer will hold the below skills and experiences:

•  Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.
• Competent with 2D and 3D AutoCAD (or equivalent drawing package).
• Will have an understanding of the application of mechanical equipment for use in industrial process operations.
