We are recruiting for a Manual Machinist to join a diverse manufacturing client based near Barton Under Needwood

This role  has been created due to business growth and the business are looking to add a new permanent member off staff for their team.

Successful candidates must be time-served or able to demonstrate a competency through experience to ensure that jobs are manufactured in accordance with supplied technical drawings and specifications.

Candidates must have experience working with a range of manual machinery including Lathes, Millers and Vertical Borers. Experience working with various materials including Stainless is a must. Experinece with Duplex/ Super Duplex would be highly advantageous .

Hours of work 7:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday, 7:00 to 12:00 Friday

All Overtime paid at Premium Rates after 40 hours

The Ideal candidates will have :

• Experience working within a machine shop environment machining of both fabricated and cast components to fine tolerances in either single or batch quantities and in a variety of steel grades.
• The ability to read, understand and work to engineering drawings. overhead crane operating experience

The ability to manipulate any of the following:

• Vertical Borer
• Manual Lathe + Miller

• Ideally Time-served
• Demonstrable experience operating a Manual Vertical Borer/ Lathe and Miller to tight tolerances.
• Experience working with various materials including Duplex/ Super Duplex
