Job Overview:
As a Wagon Fitter, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing railroad wagons to the highest possible standards. This role demands technical acuity, a strong work ethic, and a deep commitment to safety and compliance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Week 1 6am till 14.30pm Mon to Thurs - Fri 6am till 13.30pm
Week 2 14.00pm till 22.30pm Mon to Thurs, Fri 10.30am until 18.00pm.

- Conduct thorough inspections of rolling stock equipment
- Carry out repairs, modifications, and overhauls as required
- Implement preventive maintenance programmes for all wagons
- Ensure all work is carried out to the highest safety and quality standards
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet deadlines and deliverables
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Wagon Fitter or similar role in the Rail Industry or as a vehicle technician or HGV mechanic
- Strong mechanical aptitude, with a deep understanding of wagon systems and components
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field would be advantageous
