Welder TIG

Infinity Employment are looking for an experienced MIG Welder for a permanent Monday - Friday position for our Engineering specialist client based in Southampton.
Duties Include:
- Setting up and operating a range of tooling and machinery, e.g. welders (TIG.), punches etc
- Using equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn and weld pieces; setting up and measuring assemblies; selecting appropriate method of working
- Complete work documents and records
- Maintain a safe working environment, follow H&S procedures and comply with legal regulations
- Ensure work equipment is used appropriately by following operating instructions; troubleshoot breakdowns; perform preventative maintenance
- Meet quality targets and maintain high quality standards
- Working individually or as a part of a team
- Mon - Thurs 08.00 - 16.30
- Fri - 08.00 - 15.00
Qualifications/Experience:
- Minimum Level 2 NVQ/Indentured Apprenticeship or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Good numeracy skills
- Essential - must be able to read and interpret drawings
- Capable of working on own initiative
Salary
Basic - £34,000 - £37,000. 40 hr week. 8am - 16.30pm
Overtime - up to £3,500 pa
