HSQE Advisor

Following internal promotion, we are seeking to recruit an HSQE Advisor with previous experience of safety, health, environmental, sustainability and quality to assist in providing high quality advice and support within the organisation.
The successful applicant will form part of a team which delivers strategy and policy in line with compliance and ensures records and paperwork are managed effectively.
Based at the company's head offices near to Mansfield, the post holder will assist in the promotion and leadership of all HSQE elements providing accurate, meaningful data across the business whilst also assisting the manager regarding safety and environmental risks.
The role also requires the maintenance and upkeep of the HSQE management system and help the department meet its aims and objectives.
Previous experience of assisting with incident/accident investigations is desirable as is supporting and implementing Behavioural Safety and Safety Culture Change initiatives.
The role may involve some travel to operational sites and to the company's regional offices from time to time. Following a successful probationary period agile working (office/home) may also become an option to the post-holder.
Skills and Experience
- Recognised HSE qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent)
- Experience within a similar HSQE post
- Professional membership of environmental management body such as IEMA (desirable but not essential).
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Incident Investigation experience
- Member of a professional body such as IOSH (desirable)
- Conversant in HSE Management Systems
- Knowledge of of internal auditing and ISO9001/14001 + 45001
- Strong communication skills with a positive attitude towards HSQE and with an ability to influence safety behaviours within an organisation.
- Proficient in MS Office
Reward
Base salary £35K - £40K per annum
Company bonus schemes (T/A, Performance)
Salary review on completion of 12 months successful employment.
