Your Day to day duties in the role

You will be involved in mig and tig welding and fabrication of components.

Experience/Skills and Education Requirements

Desirable:

• Welding Carbon Steel from 6mm up to 150mm
  • Heavy plate Mig welding experience is critical, some of our machined joints at take up to 60 weld passes over a distance of 3m
  • Tig welding experience beneficial
  • Working to strict WPS under close supervision
  • Coded to BS EN 9606
  • Using overhead crane
  • All work produced is to be capable of passing UT, MPI and visual inspection
  • Grinding, Gouging, and Polishing
  • Knowledge of pre-heating methods
  • Will display knowledge of preparing root welds with ceramic backing
  • Will be required to undertake and pass a security background check
  • Any other ad hoc duties as may be required and as are commensurate with the grade of the post

Hours of work

• The role is on days
• The work is on a permanent basis
• 4 days per week. Monday to Thursday. 

Salary and Benefits

• Rate is £17.30
