Catering Equipment Engineer

Catering Equipment Engineer Main duties

• Attend to breakdown calls as allocated by the office.
• Carryout weekend call out cover as required
• Carryout routine service visits as arranged by the office.
• Assist and or carryout equipment installations as required.
• Complete timesheets, service reports and or Gas Safe paperwork in a full and correct manner.
• Close down calls with client call centres as required.
• Contact suppliers as required in order to source information such as part numbers and prices as required.
• Research and submit repair estimate forms to the office for completion.
• Submit all paperwork to the office on a regular basis.
• Collect local purchase parts as required.
• Occasionally carryout service, installation or training which may result in staying away from home overnight(s)

Other Responsibilities:

• Responsible for keeping company vehicle in a roadworthy condition, reporting any defects to the Senior Catering Equipment Engineer.
• Vehicle to be maintained in accordance with the Current Company handbook.
• Responsible for keeping tools or equipment belonging to the company in working order, reporting any defects to the Senior Catering Equipment Engineer.
• Completing purchase orders for local purchases.

Knowledge or skills required:

• Ability to fault find on all catering equipment.
• Ability to fault find on refrigeration equipment.
• Current ACS registration for work on Commercial Catering Equipment Natural Gas and LPG.
• Electrical safety certificate.
• Awareness of Health & Safety in the workplace.

We are looking for someone ideally in the Notts/ Derby area.

Gas quals are a must as we need someone who can hit the ground running, so need CCCN1 & COMCATS

Refrigeration experience would be great but not essential we will be looking to train anyone who show an aptitude for learning refrigeration.

Work area is the Midlands only

Weekend cover is on a rota and a standby allowance is paid, plus overtime for any call outs

Working hours 8-5 with overtime paid
