We are working with an internationally renowned manufacturer to recruit a night shift Electro-Mechanical Service Engineer for their production site near St Austell. This company is the largest of its kind in Europe, so are a market leader in their field. This role will be working 12 hour night shifts Wednesday to Friday and every second Saturday, with an average of 42 hours per week. You would be responsible for repairs servicing and maintenance of all production related equipment, including fault diagnosis and repair, continuous improvement project/task work, and general site facility tasks. In addition to these day-to-day duties the role will be allocated specific improvement projects with focus on manufacturing continuous improvement projects/Tasks.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Training and qualification to IEE 18th/19th edition preferred.
  • A recognised industrial Electrical qualification.
  • Have experience working as an Industrial Shift Electrical Engineer. 
  • Experience and skills working as an Electromechanical Engineer.
  • Experience working on drives and PCB’s.
  • Have good communication, organisational and team work skills.
  • Self-motivation, ability to apply initiative and determined.
  • Specific training where required will be provided, OEM suppliers and via remote modem diagnostic support from the OEM.
  • Ability to work solo as an Electromechanical Engineer diagnosing, repairing and performing servicing tasks which are both electrical and mechanical.
  • Competent to operate a lathe.
  • MIG/TIG welding skills preferable although not essential.
