A leading manufacturer of cutting-edge products for the automotive industry is currently looking to recruit 2 embedded software engineers to join their expanding R&D team.

This organisation is based in Chorley although will consider candidates on a remote basis.

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you must have experience of the following:

  • Degree educated with minimum 3 years’ experience in embedded software engineering
  • Solid experience of C or C++ in an embedded environment
  • Competent in using IAR developer and Github or similar
  • Comfortable with use of debuggers, oscilloscopes, serial data analysers, etc. with embedded software
  • Understanding of ARM core processors, e.g. NXP, STM, Infineon, Renesas parts; and Microchip controllers
  • Familiarity with communications protocols such as CAN, LIN, Bluetooth
  • Experience of writing bare metal (Non-RTOS) code including drivers for internal/external
  • Must be able to work to high standards and within tight timescales as expected of an approved automotive component supplier (Speed, accuracy and attention to detail)
  • Experience of the full product life cycle, design for manufacture, design for test, engineering version control
