Fulcrum Engineering are acting as an Employment Business on behalf of our Clients

Covering sectors such Mechanical/Piping & Structural Contracts, Estiamating & Site Maanagers, Supervisors & Engineers

These roles will be senior roles but will still require very good all round skills & experience covering estimating, surveying, costing, planning & managing work.

Managing or Supervising Contracts on several large sites and some smaller sites within the Food, Plastic, Chemical Process Industries.

Customer care and service with existing established customers ensuring that their work is reviewed, plannned in and completed to cost, schedule, safely. Attending regular meetings with the customers Managers.

Establish new contacts with potential customers and monitor and develop relationships with established customers.

After initial contact with customers, carry out site visit to establish customer's specification and gather enough information to produce a written quotation for work.

Generate lists of materials / parts, sub-contract services, hire equipment that are required for quotation purposes providing them to the procurement department to obtain cost effective prices and timely delivery dates.

Produce written quotations based on agreed scope of works with the customer, incorporating labour material and hire costs.

Ensure that all customers' requirements have been identified correctly in the quotation.  File as pending until customer accepts or rejects the quotation.  (Attempt to establish their reasons for any rejected quotation.)

Once a quotation is accepted, verify scope of work is unchanged, agree installation programme with customer, ensuring that long deliveries of items can meet programme and that correct labour skills and numbers are available.

Co-ordinate mechanical / electrical interface together with sub-contract suppliers.

Instruct company Buyer to order any material or hire equipment required and identify any delivery problems, which could affect programme.  Expedite critical deliveries to ensure programme requirements are achieved.

Instruct Company Supervisors on work requirements together with pre-work site visits if necessary, assist with preparation of method statements and risk assessments ensuring they are approved by the client prior to any site works commencing.

Ensure that all time sheets / job sheets always accurately reflect the work and hours carried out on site.

Control project costs, communicate with accounts department.

When work is completed, and having confirmed that the customer is satisfied, audit all costs incurred to ensure that information for final invoicing is correct.

Carry out regular audits on all work to ensure that standards of safety, quality and efficiency are being maintained.

Contract Roles or pos Perm Roles

Pay depending on quals & experinece and level

from £28 to £32 + per hr on Contract basis 

from £40,000 to £50,000 + p.a on Perm basis

Working Hours = 0730 to 1630 Mon to Fri

Quals =  HND or higher ideally Mechanical Engineering, Estimating & Suyrveying experience, Sales & BD Customer relations, Safety ideally IOSH or SMSTS, Driving Licence, Computer Literate
