Mechanical Fitter

Advantage are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter, for one of our clients based in the Keighley area.
This is a straight permanent role for the right candidate.
Duties:
- Responsible for servicing, repairs and maintenance to plant and machinery on site
- Responsible for repairs to hydraulics and pneumatics equipment on site
- Responsible for dismantling and re-assembly of machinery and working to checklists
- Work to service sheets and complete appropriate record sheets
- To operate general machinery safely and effectively
- To demonstrate the ability to pass on instructions and training to other personnel in the department
- Work within accordance with Health and Safety regulations
- Work with / alongside sub-contractors on site
- Basic machine installation
- Participate in projects and improvement groups within the company when required
- Work to an acceptable level and demonstrate continuous improvement
The successful candidate must;
- Good mechanical / engineering background
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, electrics and plumbing is desirable
- Ability to read and understand product drawings
- Experience of using measuring equipment such as micrometers or verniers
Rate of pay & hours
- Hourly pay of £15.85 per hour plus overtime at an enhanced rate
- Monday - Thursday 07:30 - 16:30/ Friday 07:30 - 11:30
