CAD Engineer

The CAD engineer will be responsible for producing fabrication drawings using 2D AutoCAD and maintaining drawing records

CAD Engineer Position Overview

The main responsiblity for The CAD engineer will be responsible for the production of the fabrication drawings using AutoCAD. The Candidate will be able to read technical drawings, schedules, and specifications. The ideal candidate must have 12 months experiences with 2D AutoCAD and 2 years minimum experience with mechanical drawings background.

CAD Engineer Position Requirements

• Read technical drawings, schedules, and specifications
• Prepare 2D fabrication drawings from sketches or order specifications using AutoCAD
• Liaise with engineers to ensure all relevant technical information is accurately documented on drawings
• Submit drawings for approval, revise drawings as required and issue for manufacture
• Maintain drawing register and any relevant schedules or supporting documents
• Identify and raise potential issues including tolerance or interfacing problems
• Assist product design and development activities including thermal and flow dynamics calculations
• Prepare isometric representations or 3D models to aid drawing clarity
• Experience with thermal/CFD modelling software would be beneficial
• Ideally have knowledge of ventilation systems or fabrication processes

CAD Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary up to £35,000 DOE
• 22 Days holiday plus Bank Holidays
