Building Maintenance Manager

We are looking for a Building Maintenance Manager, with excellent CDM regs experience, to look after 80/90 schools taking day to day response calls and arranging contractors to attend. You will be working with contractor personnel up to contract work Managers & School personnel up to Principle level.
You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance role.
You will also:
- Respond quickly and effectively to requests for day to day emergency maintenance and repairs to the Mechanical and Electrical Services installations and equipment in all properties.
- Carry out regular visits to properties in relation to day-to-day maintenance problems and planned maintenance programmes.
- Appoint and supervise contractors of various disciplines to carry out maintenance repairs and planned maintenance projects.
- Issue and being accountable for works orders to contractors, for maintenance works and tendered projects.
- Inspect, supervise and instruct Contractors of various disciplines in relation to the quality of work in progress.
- Co-operate with DRD, DENI, Water Service, Local Councils, NIE and Health and Safety Inspectorate to enable maintenance projects to be carried out effectively and in compliance with relevant legislation.
- Supervise the compliance with all relevant current regulations and legislation with particular emphasis on the Health and Safety of pupils, teachers and the general public.
- Carry out and prepare condition reports on all properties, to ascertain maintenance requirements.
Working hours: 7.4 hrs/37hrs per week.
Location: Armagh area
