Job Title - Engineering Manager

Location - South Durham 

The Company:

Reporting directly to the operations manager, you will take full control of the engineering function on-site. 

This plant has offers a platform of already established success, with huge opportunity to refine and grow. We are looking for a skilled engineering manager with ambition and drive - who is looking to be rewarded with autonomy, trust and resource to carry out the role as they see fit. 

Responsibilities:

•        Maintain and champion a strong HSE culture on-site. 

•       Build a culture of efficiency and safety with machine operation and facilities management.

•        Lead the engineering division; mentor, coach and upskill members of the team. 

•        Lead PPMs of work and direct any response to repairs. 

•        Direct all new installations and repairs of new equipment on site. 

•        Full budgetary control and autonomy, working within set parameters. 

Skills Required:

•        HNC or Degree equivalent in Engineering (Advantageous) 

•        5 + years in a similar post 

•        Data driven, and proficient with basic PC tools e.g. Excel 

•      Problem solving skills and strong communication/influencing ability.
