This is a permanent days based position for a Manufacturing Engineer to join an assembly based business near Chadderton in Greater Manchester. The role has been created to support growth plans and will work alongside the CI and engineering teams.

As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for the development, introduction and support of robust manufacturing processes and equipment to achieve business plan objectives. Your duties will include however will not be limited to:
supporting production with the development, testing and introduction of new products and processes.
improving the overall reliability and performance of plant, personnel and production equipment and processes.
installation and commissioning of new equipment.
feasibility studies for new technical innovations, testing installations and systems.
driving operational efficiency and cost reduction projects.
implementing standard operating procedures across all areas of responsibility.
The successful Manufacturing Engineer will have:
previously worked in a similar Manufacturing Engineering position - ESSENTIAL
strong written, verbal and analytical skills - ESSENTIAL
worked on projects previously and used Six Sigma methodologies - ESSENTIAL
been involved in New Product Development - ESSENTIAL
- strong problem solving skills and knowledge of PFMEA - ESSENTIAL
an Engineering Degree or related subject - DESIRABLE
- a Lean Six Sigma qualification - DESIRABLE
This is permanent days based (8am - 4pm) role paying c£40-45k plus excellent bonus and additional benefits. It is based near Chadderton in Greater Manchester.
