Mechanical / Aerospace / Automotive Engineering Graduates or similar are required for this exciting Project Management role within a well renowned manufacturer,

The acknowledged leader in perimeter security and anti-terror equipment, including automatic Gates, Barriers, Bollards and Roadblockers. Expertise in design and manufacture is the result of decades of experience and are accredited to ISO 9001.

With around 100 staff based at the headquarters in Crawley, West Sussex they provide a complete range of services including design, site surveys, manufacture, installation, civil and electrical services, maintenance, spares, repair or refurbishment and full project management, all backed up by a fully comprehensive customer service programme. All products are available with a wide range of control options and operating systems which are constantly evolving to meet customer’s demands.   Working with many familiar companies from offices to banks, cash handling services, MOD sites, Utilities, infrastructure and Government buildings.

 This role will be working as part of the Repairs Team, managing the repairs of equipment installed across the country.

You will need to produce, chase and action quotes. The role will involve liaising with engineers and clients, organising repairs to provide a quick and efficient service.
The role will also include being the point of contact for some of the largest customers and dealing with all their needs. This may include site visits for review meetings and large projects.
 
Essential skills and qualifications:

  • Able to demonstrate practical basic engineering knowledge gained either through industrial placement, degree or project work.
  • Able to use and understanding of Windows based packages, email, internet etc.
  • Able to communicate in a clear, concise, logical manner both verbally and written.
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Must be able to demonstrate attention to detail and have an excellent memory
  • Ability to deal with multiple issues under time pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to converse at all levels and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
  • Ability to think commercially as well as technically
  • At least 2:2 degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • A full driving license (car) would be an advantage.

Due to company size you will be treated as an individual not a cog in a large machine and you’ll have as much responsibility as you can handle right from the start. Manufacturing on site you will gain experience quickly in all aspects of the products and everything that supports all processes. In a fast pace environment you’ll be running your own projects, making site visits and meeting customers – anyone from the security guard to the director.
