Mechanical Engineer

£30,000 - £32,000 per annum

Field Based

40 hours per week

Reporting into the Senior Mechanical Engineer, the mechanical engineer will initially work alongside experience engineers to undertake the technical installations and inspections of large LPG tanks. Individuals must be prepared to work away from home for up to a week at a time. They must possess good communication skills and be able to react to situations as they arise.

The Role

· Carry out routine maintenance work at Flogas storage depots

· Carry out maintenance and inspection work on industrial customer LPG plants

· Carry out on site installations of pipework, pumps, vaporisers, and auxiliary equipment at customer’ sites

· Assist with prefabrication work and vaporiser assembly at Knowsley

About You

· LPG experience and able to demonstrate ability to work hands on

· Ability to meet agreed deadlines and work overtime as required

· A knowledge of LPG in both liquid and vapour phase and safe working practices

· Ability to read both GA and Isometric plant layout drawings

· A working knowledge of pipework assembly including flanged and screwed joints
