Materials Engineer JT003
Capgemini Engineering is recruiting for a Materials Engineer to join the Aerospace, Defence and Energy team in Bristol.
The Materials Applications team is responsible for delivering design, development, manufacturing, testing and in-service Materials support to Defence Aerospace Projects. The team has multiple relationships, both internally and externally, with defined customer service level agreements of performance and delivery to deadlines. The Materials Application role provides the opportunity to gain experience of the materials, processes, components and products produced and its suppliers as well as developing key skills and competencies for further personal development.
- To provide technical and expert advice across Defence Aerospace programmes with a particular focus on design and supply chain production support
- Support design of test programmes and analysis of test programme data
- Investigate engineering development, production manufacturing and in-service issues using a structured analytical approach and presenting findings clearly and authoritatively
- A qualification in Materials Science or Engineering or significant relevant experience.
- Good analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to build good working relationships across the business
- Knowledge of the gas turbine and its components
