£50,000 - £55,000/annum

Engineering Manager - Dorset - £50,000 to £55,000 (but flexible depending on the candidate) plus benefits - availability to work flexibly with some time being able to be spent working from home.

Melbreck Technical are working with a leading designer and manufacturer of specialist equipment used in the Aerospace, Naval and Defence industries, who due to continued growth and internal promotions are now looking for an Engineering Manager to join their business, based in Dorset.

Engineering Manager - Job Purpose: 

To manage one of the Engineering Departments, and ensure it functions effectively and efficiently for the business.  

Provide the strategic plans, the leadership and the drive for engineering. 

To ensure that projects undertaken by Engineering are completed on time and to the satisfaction of customers, both internal and external, and the certifying authorities.

Ensure that high standards of engineering professionalism are adopted throughout Engineering, and ensure there is an enthusiastic, open and honest culture.

Engineering Manager - Candidate Requirements:

The role requires an educational standard to minimum Degree level in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Considerable evidence of successful leadership and line management experience

A minimum of five years’ experience gained in an engineering environment is essential. 

Evidence of well developed project management skills and multiple project/task management

The jobholder must be computer literate.

A valid driving licence and a willingness to travel in the UK and abroad are also required.
