SCITEK Consultants Ltd have been in business for 24 years, based in Derby and our mission is to provide R&D services to Aerospace, Marine and Power generation companies. The company is growing to meet increased demand within the UK and from abroad and we need to recruit experienced and highly motivated engineers.

We are increasingly engaging in projects related to renewable energy to help our clients achieve their Net Zero goals. The successful candidate will therefore get the chance to work on exciting projects at the cutting edge of R&D.

Candidate requirements:

The candidate must be well organised, highly motivated, adaptable and keen to learn new disciplines with a minimum HNC/HND qualification and substantial work experience in electrical engineering. They must have a keen interest in electrical design, machinery safety, instrumentation and control. Candidates with good practical and report writing skills will be favoured.

Experience with SolidWorks Electrical or EPLAN will be advantageous as well as experience of designing and working with safety systems. It is also desirable for the candidate to possess good programming skills. Experience of programming in LabView and/or Python will be an advantage.

The successful candidate must, by the start of their employment, have permission to work in the UK.

The role

This is a multi-disciplined, diverse role, which drawing on your areas of specialism could include (but is not limited to):

• The design of instrumentation and control systems
• Solving electrical design challenges
• Working from concept all the way through to system testing and delivery
• Working independently and as part of a team
