Primary Responsibility:

Our client, based in Bury, is looking for a Foreman. They will be responsible for leading a team of welders/fabricators to ensure both company and client specifications are met.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To provide technical and supervisory guidance and support to welders/fabricators to ensure agreed quality specifications are achieved.
• Organising and allocating workloads to ensure deadlines and procedural requirements are met through maximum productivity and efficiency.
• Ensuring high standards of health and safety are adhered to at all times.
• Liaising with management to ensure that the team delivers a high-quality product at every step throughout the fabrication process.

Required Qualifications or Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Experienced in fabrication/welding with leadership qualities.
• Must have a knowledge and understanding of detailed fabrication drawings.
• Display an understanding of the relevant standards, codes and practices.
• Able to work both as an individual and a team player along with being self-motivated.
• Able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Computer literacy including; Excel and Office applications.

Desirable

• Previous experience in a supervisory role.
• Overtime

• Any and all training required will be provided to the successful candidate
