I am working with one of the UK's leading integrated Electrical, Control & Instrumentation providers, based in Birmingham, who are trusted to deliver integrated solutions across a range of highly complex projects within process automation.

In order to continue with their impressive growth plans, we have the opportunity for a Control Systems Engineer to join their upcoming Projects.

Control Systems Engineer - The Role

A hands-on design role where you will be involved in a number of projects. Autonomy is very much encouraged therefore you will have direct responsibility for your own projects, with the support of a Senior Control Systems Engineer. As the Control Systems Engineer you will have the ability to carry out projects through a complete lifecycle including completion of documentation

Control Systems Engineer - The Person

For this role, we are seeking an Engineer with solid PCS7 capability incorporating designing software from concept. You will also have current software design ability with PLC & HMI - any additional SCADA expertise highly advantageous - with at least one of the following platforms: Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider. You will also have solid understanding and ability with electrical schematics (hardware design a bonus) along with drives & motion control (Siemens and/or Control Techniques would be excellent).

The Contract length is estimated at around 6 months however with the amount of work they have had on and are forecasting it could be longer. This is an OUTSIDE IR35 role, looking to pay above market rate for the right candidates.
