Main Contractor – Educational Schemes

Permanent: Up to £45,000 + Package

Office Based in Solihull

We are currently searching for a Structural Engineer for a Main Contractor who specialise in educational and industrial projects. Due to winning a place on an educational framework, this company are currently bolstering their team and with that are recruiting for technical staff. This business boasts a group turnover of over €4 Billion throughout UK and Europe so this is an opportunity to join a large company with great opportunities.

As Structural Engineer you will work with the preconstruction and operations teams in order to design structurally sound projects.


  • Developing detailed analytical models by hand and using computer software to understand structural behaviour. 
  • Hand sketching and building physical models. 
  • Liaising internally with engineers and directors. 
  • Communicating externally with collaborators including architects, contractors, and clients. -Managing the delivery of key packages of construction information.
  • Many of the projects are on fast track developments, so candidates must be delivery-focused with good technical skills.


  • 3+ years’ experience structural engineering experience ideally working on educational or steel frame buildings.
  • Applicants must be degree educated.
