My client is an innovative engineering and technology company who design and manufacture complex products, supplying into a range of sectors, and they are currently looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team.
Responsibilities will include;
- Ensuring a smooth NPI transfer into manufacture
- Driving continuous improvement projects for existing products
- Working with internal teams to resolve engineering issues
- Creating robust relationships with suppliers
- Documentation to support manufacturing
- Jigs, fixtures and tooling projects
- Using lean tools and techniques (eg PFMEA, DFM, DFA etc)
You will ideally have worked with electro-mechanical or electronic products, be familiar with manufacturing engineering challenges and have relevant engineering qualifications. Highly organised with experience of a broad range of lean and manufacturing tools together with great interpersonal skills, you will be working closely with a number of teams across the business to ensure successful product launches. Previous experience of working with electro-mechanical products, complex products/processes in highly regulated sectors (eg automotive, aerospace, medical devices or similar) would be useful. A positive approach together with good problem-solving skills are essential as this is a great opportunity to join a progressive, stable and expanding company whilst developing your career within manufacturing engineering.
