We have a great opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our well-established team on a full-time permanent basis. The main purpose of the role is to support Briggs Marine Business Units with all aspects of Human Resources.


  • Reporting to the Head of HR Central Services and an intrinsic member of The Human Resource Team.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and updates either in person or via Microsoft Teams
  • Maintain and develop dialogue and relationships with local Senior Management and their Teams to understand the Group business strategy and associated people requirements to meet current and future organisational challenges. 
  • To advise and support Managers on employment legislation,
  • Partner with the Group Training Manager to ensure Line Managers across the business are fully trained in HR Policies and procedural related HR issues.
  • Partner with the Senior HR Business Partner and Be the HR representative and advisor to Unions and other third parties within your local Region.
  • Management of casework and responsibility for dealing with complex employment cases claims that arise.
  • Support HR Projects locally.
  • Facilitate the management team to bring good practice, credible, customer focused and cost-effective HR solutions.
  • manage your own administrative workload.
  • Any other people related matters that may arise locally.


CIPD Qualified, effective communicator who will bring hands on experience and positive energy to work closely with the HR Team, along with being hugely organised you must be flexible with a positive can-do attitude in a challenging environment.
