As an OB Engineers you will fulfil a wide range of engineering tasks on location covering video and audio signal quality, camera racking, communications, links, rigging, testing, establishing external feeds, and troubleshooting in a live sports OB environment. You will support the Guarantee Engineer and Unit Manager on-site and assist other members of the crew to ensure delivery of a high-quality service.
At base, the OB Engineer will participate in the planning and preparation of larger fixtures.
Over time you will also cover for the Guarantee Engineers on occasions.
High degree of knowledge in Broadcast Technology and software equipment.
Knowledge of broadcast IT, TCP/IP, networking, and cloud technologies.
Experience with 100v distribution lines and up - to 63 Amp single phase systems
Able to manage resources, project plans, budgets, and customer expectations.
Open to expanding knowledge and experience in broadcasting.
Degree qualification in engineering media / broadcast or equivalent
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A full UK driving licence, HGV License would be a bonus.
