Avanti Recruitment have partnered with an autonomous driving scale up in London to recruit a number of Engineers to join their growing R&D team working on some truly ground-breaking projects for the global transport, freight and logistics industry.

One key hire is an Autonomous Navigation and Path Planning Engineer - it's a hybrid role where you'll be part-Researcher, part-Developer and would suit someone either coming from academia looking to move in to industry, or someone who has a strong academic background, moved to industry but misses the research element in their current role.

You'll need:

At least a Masters level degree in computer science, mathematics pf physics to be considered for this role (most of their research team have PhD's)

Knowledge of robotic control, vehicle dynamics, kinematics

Experience researching and/or working on autonomous navigation solutions

A solid grounding in C++ and ROS

Ability to develop and undertake simulation studies.

If you want to experience (and indeed, help develop) the state of the art when it comes to autonomous ground vehicles in a growing scale-up with an already-global customer base, this is an opportunity not to miss.

You'll get the full backing and support of the CTO and Tech Leads who you'll collaborate with directly in a super-supportive environment, a culture that celebrates innovation, promotes curiosity and rewards achievement.
